As a Pack, we offer several chances a year to camp with your Scout. 5th grade Scouts can camp independently as a Den or join a Scouts BSA Troop outing.
A "camp in" is usually an overnight trip sleeping in a cabin or other shelter. We may visit a cave, a museum, or go to a baseball game.
In August, we typically do a "bring your own tent" family campout. This is open to the whole family.
For many Scouts, this is their first time in a tent!
Adult leaders have taken Scouting America courses intended to lead a Pack on a camping trip and are prepared to help you and your family have a great experience.
Scouts in Pack 405 entering the 2nd and 3rd grade can attend a 5 day community camp during the day in Summer.
Scouts as old as those entering the 5th grade can attend community camp, but typically choose the resident camp with their den.
Scouts entering 1st grade must attend with a guardian.
Scouts entering the 4th and 5th grade, have the opportunity attend a 3 day and 2 night resident camp at Cub World.
Meant for older Cubs, it gives a small taste of what Summer Camp looks like as a Scout. The final night includes a chance to sleep under the stars at Camp Friedlander.
